DRAWN TO YOU

Working at an animation studio isn’t always as bright or exciting as the cartoons they produce, and animator Phoebe Nix is officially drained.

She’s stuck as a PA after losing out on a big promotion, living in a derelict apartment, drowning in art school debt, all while dealing with the toxic bro culture at work. After almost two years without progress, it’s gotten to the point that Phoebe is on the verge of leaving her dreams behind and quitting the industry altogether.

That is, until her best friend submits Phoebe’s original animated series idea for a competition at work and Phoebe is not only chosen as a finalist, but also assigned a mentorship with her industry idol! Suddenly, her dream of creating her own show and reshaping the industry are closer than ever.

Well, until her apartment’s explosive plumbing leaves her completely stranded, jeopardizing her chance at continuing in the contest. Enter not-so-Prince Charming, Sam Park, the notoriously aloof showrunner of the top-rated series who offers Phoebe his very charming bungalow as a rent-free (in LA? Unheard of!) place to stay… on one condition. Sam needs her to be his fake date to industry events to appease his Hollywood-elite father. However, with Sam’s enigmatic reputation, plus the fact that he’s a judge for the contest, there’s got to be a catch in all this, right? Oh well, desperate times call for desperate charades, and Phoebe won’t risk losing this chance at achieving her dream of creating her own show.

As the competition’s deadline draws closer, fake dates with Sam turn into late night confessions, and corporate higher-ups reveal their true colors, Phoebe learns how to advocate for herself, stand up for her ideas, and rewrite her own story. She just never imagined that creating the life she always dreamed of would be quite so sketchy.
